Birds
Bird photography is hard! Ideally, you have a tremendous amount of back light, the bird remains still, the composition is at the bird’s eye level, you use a horrifically expensive lens for optimal sharpness… it’s a real challenge! I’ve done what I can, and I’m very happy with some of these shots. My lens is still “just” the 200mm zoom, but adding a 2x teleconverter gives me an effective 400mm lens. Sharpness takes a slight hit, and this cuts the light significantly, but considering we had the first real sun in a long while, the images are about as good as I could hope for.
