So. Was this a good idea? No, not really. But it was fun to play around with. Pushing any film seven stops was going to be a challenge, and Rollei film already has relatively poor dynamic range compared to, say, Ilford. But why not try anyway? The results were not stellar, and a tremendous amount of detail was lost in the shadows. Of the entire 36 shot roll, here’s what turned out. The remaining frames were either completely featureless, too crushed to be recovered, or otherwise terrible.

Furthermore, the roll itself had problems with development (getting the darned thing spooled was a challenge that nearly broke the celluloid once or twice) and scanning (there was dust on the light that I didn’t see until finished). It somewhat adds to the general nightmare that is this roll, so enjoy!

Clouds

The tremendous contrast from pushing so far really gave itself to nice high contrast clouds.

Ducks

Fortuitously, some ducks posed themselves in a nice bright morning sun, which gave some information in these frames.
